How to Apply Impersonation in Exchange?
Impersonation enables a service application, to impersonate a user account. This will enable to perform operations by using the permissions that are associated with the impersonated account instead of the permissions associated with the service application account. Impersonation is the best choice when you’re dealing with multiple mailboxes because you can easily grant one service account access to every mailbox in a database. How to Apply Impersonation in Exchange 2013 & 2016
In Office 365:
1: Login as Administrator – https://portal.microsoftonline.com/
2: Now, Go to Exchange Admin Section.
3: Select “Permissions” from left panel.
4: Select Hygiene Management option.
5: Select edit option
6:You will be able to view Hygiene Management panel.
7: Now, Click on “+” add button in Roles option.
8: New Window appear on your screen you need to select ApplicationImpersonation and then you have to click on Add -> then click on “OK” button.
9: Now “Hygiene Management” window will appear, click on Add members (+)
10: Now select member and clicks on “Add ->” and then “OK”.
11: In the right panel, you can view ApplicationImpersonation assigned to the member.
